Thrills and Spills

I have a love/hate relationship with fireworks now that I have 2 boys who want to get in on the action and light their own.  What is it about fire crackers? Why is it so fantastic to set something on fire and watch it fly into the air making loud noises? A few years ago my family and I were enjoying our ridiculously large bounty of the sparkly wonders. This time we had some big ones. The kind that you overpay to get, light and drop into the tube and then run away from really fast.  I distinctly remember telling my husband, "Hey, wouldn't it be funny if someone fell down while running away?" I'm sure you can guess who fell down running away on her next turn.
